Demonstration organized by the
Armenian National Committee of Illinois and
Assyrian Community of Chicago at ATAA, Palmer
House Hilton Hotel, 17 E. Monroe,
Chicago, Illinois.
Before it started, initiative group of Assyrians
and Armenians
organized several meetings at
Glenview Community Center and Mesopotamian Museum, 6301/7 N. Pulaski.
They stated:
"The ATAA (Assembly of Turkish American
Associations), one of the largest Turkish
organizations
engaged in denying the Armenian and Assyrian
Genocide,
recently sued the state of Massachusetts
to include the “Turkish view” on the
Armenian and Assyrian Genocide in its school
curriculum".
